Thank you to everyone who attended our Parent Engagement Program Academy workshop on December 2. It was great to hear from Dr. Steve Lassiter and Jennifer Johnson, both from Pitt County Schools Central Office, about the Pitt County Schools Strategic Plan.
Through their presentation, we learned the details behind the four main goals: teaching, learning and equity; achievement; human capital; and community engagement and safety. We learned that there are numerous possibilities for parents and community members to connect with our schools, either by remaining informed, offering ideas, or finding ways for effective two way communication between parents, communities, and schools.
