We frequently receive a common question from families as they consider their school choices. “What is the best school for my children to attend?” That answer is different for every family as every family has different needs and different hopes for their educational experience. The best way to decide which school is the best fit for your family is to visit the school and walk the hallways, getting a feel for what a day in that school might look like. We are so excited to once again offer in person tours of each school in Pitt County.
School tours began February 16 and will continue through March 9th, with several tour options each Wednesday and Thursday. To sign up for a school tour, visit this website and sign up for the tours that interest you. Also, keep in mind that a virtual tour of every school is available on the Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County Youtube channel. Consider touring a school virtually before or after your in person tour. That may help your family get an even better picture of how the school might be a good fit for your student.
Additionally, keep in mind that open enrollment opens on March 1, 2022. Applications will be available on the Pitt County Schools website on that date. We are happy to answer questions about that process or connect you to someone at PCS who can answer your questions.
