Two exciting Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County events happen at this time of year: Kindergarten 101 and School Tours. Both of these events are still ON this year (virtually of course).
Kindergarten 101 is being recorded on February 16, and will be shared on all of our social media outlets beginning February 17. This video will feature a welcome from our Superintendent Dr. Ethan Lenker, valuable information from Lisa Tate and Kay Weathington from K-5 education and student assignments, guidance from local pediatrician Dr. Jenn Crotty, and a closing session with Terry Atkinson from Read ENC. We’ve been collecting questions from parents about Kindergarten and hope to have those answered in the session as well. Tune in to learn the latest on starting your little one off right in Kindergarten!
Our Spring 2021 Virtual School Tour Series is also underway. We want to thank Capital to Coast Law Firm and Haystack Realty for sponsoring the tours. In addition to supporting PPS-PC, both of these great local businesses are pledging to support Pitt County Schools with a matching challenge. We are still recording our digital school tours, but as they are created, they are added to our Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County YouTube channel. If there is a school you want to tour, check it out and see for yourself what great things each school is offering. If you do not see a school there yet, don’t worry, it is coming! All tours should be complete and uploaded by mid-March.
