We want to take a moment to honor and remember Jane Beach, a member of the National Parents for Public Schools staff, who spent the majority of her career with PPS. She began working for PPS when the organization was founded, and remained on staff until she passed away earlier this month after a brief illness.
Jane had a passion for supporting public schools through PPS, and her behind the scenes work to make local chapters like ours successful will always be remembered and greatly appreciated. If you’ve ever made a donation through our website, Jane processed that donation and quickly made sure we received the funds. She made sure that we received checklists each year, outlining our chapter requirements to help us maintain our good standing with the IRS as a non profit. She helped chapters from across the country connect with one another to share ideas, often being the point of contact to introduce us to one another.
We are grateful for her dedication to PPS and her commitment to strengthening public education locally and nationally. Jane’s vibrant presence in our organization and in our world will be greatly missed.
