The start of a new school season brings much excitement as we meet new teachers, connect with old friends (and make new ones), and get ready for a successful year ahead. At PPS-PC the beginning of a school year also means we get to meet new interns! This year, we welcome three interns to our organization.

Chase Robinson is from the ECU School of Social Work, where he is completing a Master’s degree. He spends 3 days of each week with PPS-PC. Chase has lived in Pitt County his whole life, and is a graduate of Chicod School and DH Conley High School. He tells us he is proud to be part of this community and to advocate for and strengthen public education in Pitt County for all children in our area.

Anne Thomas Brinkley is a senior studying interpersonal communications, and spending approximately 10 hours per week with PPS-PC. She prides herself on being a 3rd generation ECU Pirate! “AT”, as many people call her,  is excited for this internship to give her skills that can be carried into her career for life. When she is not at school or her internship, she can often be found working on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Savannah McCasslin  is a Junior with a major in Marketing and a minor in Communications who is donating 10 hours per week of her time to PPS-PC. She is excited to learn more about her field and learn more about how a nonprofit and a school system can work together. When not diving into her work and academics, she can be found shopping or playing with her bunny!
