For the past few years, we have partnered with our sponsors at Suddenlink to hold a school supply drive for Pitt County Schools.  In 2020 we had to have a fully virtual drive, but it still exceeded our expectations. In 2021, we stuffed every seat of a Pitt County Schools’  bus with supplies for every age student. This year, please save the date for the Stuff the Bus event on August 6 from 10am-2pm at the 10th Street Wal-Mart. Donated items are sorted by age category and then given to Pitt County Schools social workers to distribute to the students across the county who need them most.

How can you help? There are multiple ways you can get involved in this project! Come shop for school supplies at the 10th Street Wal-Mart on August 6 from 10am-2pm. You’ll see Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County and Suddenlink set up in front of the store ready to take your donations when you finish shopping. Or shop online! You can access the Amazon wishlist here. Items will be automatically shipped to Suddenlink and delivered to Pitt County Schools. Volunteer! We will need volunteers all day, from set up to break down, and all the hours in between. Click on this link to sign up for a volunteer shift.
