What’s your child’s learning style and why does it matter? Is there a change you’d like to see made in your child’s school, but you’re not sure how to go about suggesting it? Are you interested in knowing more about the public school system in NC?

If any of these questions sound like you, then you are a perfect candidate for the Parent Engagement Program (PEP). PEP meets one Wednesday per month during the school year from 8:30 am -2:30 pm. Nationally trained facilitators will walk you through a variety of modules about the ins and outs of public education. You’ll learn about budgets, school report card grades, learning styles, barriers to learning, advocacy, leadership, and so much more. Upon graduating from the class, you’ll complete a project that provides improvement for a Pitt County School, or commit to increasing your leadership within the schools.

Both parents and non parent community members are invited to participate in this cohort style leadership opportunity. Fill out the application on our website at https://ppspittcounty.org/1676672277143/programs/ or email kdibble@ppspittcounty.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
