New Office: PPS-PC recently moved into new office space at the Heart for ENC Nonprofit Business Center located at 101 W. 14th Street, Suite 107, Greenville, NC. The building is home to numerous nonprofit groups. In addition to office space, PPS-PC will benefit from collaboration with and shared resources among other nonprofit groups.

Summer Intern: PPS-PC is thrilled to introduce Catherine Romagnoli who is working with PPS-PC as an intern this summer. Catherine grew up in Vermont. Her mom, step-dad, and sister still live there and she travels back to visit during the holidays and summertime. In 2009, Catherine came to East Carolina University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.

Since 2013, Catherine has been a classroom teacher for Pitt County Schools teaching at Ayden Elementary until 2022 where she taught first grade, kindergarten, and 4th grade. Prior to the 2022-2023 school year she transferred to Wahl-Coates Elementary where she was a 4th grade teacher and an Equity Partner. During the 2023-2024 school year she will be a 5th grade teacher in Edgecombe County.

In 2020 Catherine began working towards a master’s degree in Leadership, Policy, and Advocacy in Early Childhood Education at UNCW. During her internship with PPS-PC she is looking forward to learning different perspectives from members of the community and how we can use those different points of view to create partnerships that provide the best educational experiences for students and families. Welcome Catherine!
