#GivingEveryTuesday developed out of the GivingTuesday leader community and offers opportunities to increase civic participation, driving giving, and build connection and empathy.

While PPS-PC celebrates all that has been accomplished during 2023, the work is not done. Students and staff in Pitt County Schools and parents and community members in Pitt County still need your support. Together, we can make an even greater impact in the coming year. As you consider making end of year contributions PPS-PC hopes you will contribute towards the 2023 end of year giving campaign as a part of #GivingEveryTuesday to help PPS-PC reach its goal to raise $10,000 by the end of 2023 in honor of PPS-PC’s 10th Anniversary.

Story of Impact – Written by Jamie Cash, PCS parent and IECHS PTSO leadership team

“I feel incredibly grateful for my experience with Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County. As a mother and a member of the IECHS PTSO leadership, I have found immense support through PPS-PC. Every time I have interacted with them, I have been impressed by the vast array of resources, information, and connections offered to parents free of cost.

What stands out to me the most is the genuine commitment of PPS-PC towards empowering parents through education and advocacy. Attending workshops has broadened my comprehension of all the functioning parts that public schools in Pitt County have and equipped me with practical tools (information) to support my children’s educational journey. The opportunity to learn about topics in-depth and physically observe how each school implements things has transformed me into a valuable resource and improved my leadership skills. These opportunities have helped me efficiently navigate the IECHS PTSO team to serve our school and families. It has also helped me focus my philanthropic responsibilities within our community.

Looking ahead to 2024, I am excited to share my plans to further engage with both PPS-PC programs. I am thrilled about the Early Childhood PEP and PEP cohort programs.

I believe my involvement with these programs will enhance my skills as a parent and advocate while strengthening bonds within our community. The collaborative spirit of PPS-PC aligns seamlessly with my values, and I’m overjoyed about the prospect of making a meaningful contribution to the organization.

Thank you for PPS-PC’s dedication to Pitt County’s public schools.”
