Many of you joined us in April as Resources For Resilience presented a workshop on resiliency. They have agreed to partner with Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County again to offer parent listening circles. Listening circles offer us a chance to feel heard, and more importantly, to feel validated.  Uncertainty around Covid19 and recent events around racism and equity can leave us struggling. Listening circles provide us with the opportunity to connect to each other, re-center,  and recognize how trauma from recent events may be affecting us and our community, mentally and physically.

To sign up for an upcoming listening circle, visit the following link: https://signup.com/go/GseKWvn   Please include your correct email address and you will receive an invitation to a Zoom meeting.

Please know that we are committed to working with you, parents and community members, to prioritize racial equity for everyone in our schools. We also recognize that the work of strengthening our schools, particularly when it comes to tackling such tough issues as race and a pandemic, can be exhausting work, and we want to provide options for supporting each other as we all work towards ensuring a high quality public education for each child.
