Did you know that Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County has a thriving board of directors? It was a few members of our current board who founded this chapter almost 7 years ago. We are so thankful for their early groundwork that led us to where we are today, and thankful for the work many of these board members have done as officers over the years.

To our board members rolling off after many years with us–Jill Camnitz, Juan Garcia, Kathy March, and Carolyn Sievers–your passion for public education has brought this chapter to where it is, and we are beyond grateful for you. Also many thanks to Melissa Adamson who has served as president for the past two years, and will stay with us for another two years as past president. We would not be where we are without you. And congratulations to Kathy March and Carolyn Sievers, who will begin serving on our national Parents for Public Schools board!

We are also excited to recruit new energy and ideas to our board, and to see new leadership arise in our officer positions. We welcome the following board members to new positions as officers, and are excited for the direction PPS-PC is headed under their leadership:

President: Clarissa Lee

Vice President: Desha Lane

Secretary/Sustainability Chair: Molly Holdeman

Treasurer: Jessica Lawrence

Nominations Chair: Aisha Holton
