PPS-PC is excited about launching the first ECD PEP Cohort in Pitt County beginning in March. Since PPS-PC began in Pitt County in 2013 over 100 individuals have been a part of 5 different PEP Cohorts. PPS-PC is excited about introducing a new PEP program to Pitt County. Are you interested in being a part of the inaugural ECD PEP Cohort?

What is ECD PEP? It is an easy to understand child development curriculum based on research from the National Scientific Council on the Developing Child at Harvard University. ECD PEP is designed to teach parents, care givers, and educators how to utilize hands-on activities and strategies to support healthy childhood development during early years. The cohort will meet for four sessions and each session will be three hours long. The initial cohort will meet March 6, March 20, April 3 and April 17 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. ECD PEP consists of training modules including: Brain Under Development, Social & Emotional Development, Minimizing Toxic Stress; Support Language and Literacy, Nutrition & Physical Activity. If you are the parent or caregiver of a child zero to five years old or you spend a lot of time with children that age in an educational or other setting this cohort is designed for you.
