The Season of Thanksgiving provides the opportunity to intentionally acknowledge those things that you are thankful for. For over 11 years PPS-PC has had the honor and privilege to help advance the role of families and communities in securing a high quality public education for each child in Pitt County. During this season of Thanksgiving PPS-PC is thankful for :
– Every single person who has engaged with one of our core programs including school tours, Community Conversations, Parent Engagement Program and the PPS-PC Team Boneyard Partnership
– Individuals, businesses, community organizations and foundations who have provided financial support making it possible to successfully operate the programs
– Businesses and community organizations who have provided meeting space for events and made donations for event attendees to enjoy
– Community partners locally, across the state and around the nation who have encouraged each other as public school advocates
– Individuals, businesses and community organizations that have connected people to PPS-PC providing the opportunity to serve as a resource in various capacities

One way to express gratitude is through giving. December 4th, Giving Tuesday, is a great opportunity to make an end of year contribution. Financial support ensures that in 2025 PPS-PC can not only continue the core programs but also expand them. Every gift is a part of making an impact. Will you be a part of the impact made in 2025?
–Kindergarten 101 Workshops – January 28th 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm and January 30th from 9:30 am – 11:00 am.
** New in 2025 the workshop is being offered in Spanish on January 30th from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm.
–2025 Spring School Tour Series – Tours will be offered at all Pitt County Schools during the month of February and the first two weeks of March.
–Parent Engagement Program – Traditionally PEP has been offered as a cohort every other year. The 2024-2025 cohort will conclude in May and another cohort will be offered during the 2025-2026 school year.
** New in 2025 PEP will be offered in Spanish
–Community Conversations – Community Conversations will be scheduled in various locations around Pitt County January – April.
