My name is Levi C. Smith Sr. I am a candidate for the Pitt County School Board District 5. I graduated from Winterville High School, Pitt Technical Institute and studied one year at Mount Olive College in Business Administration. My wife and I have been married for 50 years. We have three sons, nine grandchildren of whom eight are attending Pitt Community County Schools. My achievements are as follows:
-United States Air Force Veteran.
– Retired from the Kinston DuPont Plant as a Lab/Quality Manager.
-Part time Realtor.
– Strong people, budgeting, policy, and procedure skills.
– Sunday School teacher, Deacon and Board Chairman at my Church.
– State Senate recognition for years of community service to the Town of Winterville and its Citizens.
– Founded the Winterville Pee Wee Baseball League and Saturday morning Basketball Youth program.
– The new baseball field in Winterville was named the Levi C. Smith field for forty plus years of mentoring and coaching our youth.
– Current Head Coach of Winterville Ruritan’s 13-15 Babe Ruth Team.
– Winterville Ruritans past President and current Vice President.
