Why are we talking about Kindergarten in December? Because believe it or not, those busy-as-a-bee four year olds will be heading off next year to their first year of school. Whether it’s your first time sending a little one to the big world of public school, or you’ve been through this before, we invite you to attend our our popular Kindergarten 101 program.

This workshop gives you an opportunity to meet several key folks from Pitt County Schools, such as the superintendent, the director of K-5 education, the director of enrollment, a school nurse, and a local pediatrician who will share their insights about preparing for kindergarten. Learn about forms you’ll need to fill out, important dates you should add to your calendar, open enrollment options, and fun ways to prepare your child for this monumental life experience. There will also be opportunities to ask lots of questions and to sign up for school tours as you begin to think about where your child will attend kindergarten.

Look for the event flyer in early January to register for this event.
