With the turn of the calendar to 2023, the month of August and the start of a new school year will be here before we know it! The first day of the 2023-2024 school year will welcome many new students beginning Kindergarten into PCS. If you are a parent or caregiver of a child who will begin Kindergarten in August 2023, PPS-PC is hosting a free event just for you: Kindergarten 101.
Each year PPS-PC hosts two Kindergarten 101 events, one in the morning and one in the evening. During these events a group of local education experts are collaborating once again to provide information and answer questions about the start of the kindergarten experience. The upcoming Kindergarten 101 events are:
Wednesday January 25th – 10:00 am at The Memorial Baptist Church (1510 Greenville Blvd SE), and
Thursday January 26th – 6:30 pm at the Kathy Taft Center (2010 Allen Rd. Greenville, NC)
These events typically last about an hour and a half. Guest presenters include: PCS Director of Elementary Education, PCS School Nurse Program Manager, PCS Director of School Nutrition Services, PCS Director of Student Services, Elementary School Principal, a Local Pediatrician, and a parent who has experienced the start of kindergarten.
The event will conclude with a question and answer session providing attendees the opportunity to ask the presenters any additional questions you might have. Click your preferred date to register for your event: January 25 (morning) or January 26 (evening). Pre registration is not required but helps us be prepared with the proper resources.
