Biography:

I am Donald C. (Don) Rhodes candidate for the District 4 seat. As a retired educator, I have over 30 years of experience as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and central office director. I currently own and operate small businesses including The Mosquito Authority.

My wife Sara Beth and I reside near Farmville with our two daughters. The oldest, a law student, graduated from Farmville Central and The Honors College at East Carolina University, and the youngest is a sophomore at Farmville Central. We are active members of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce, May Museum, Farmville Community Arts Council, and Farmville Musicale supporting the ECU School of Music.

We were honored to be ECU’s Family of Year in 2018. We attend Monk Memorial UMC, where I am treasurer. I am committed to public service including currently serving as vice chair of the Pitt Community College Foundation Board and as a member of the Pitt County Development Commission, the Advisory Board of the SECU Medical Park Branch and the Board of Directors of the Fountain Volunteer Fire Department. I am a former member of the Pitt County Animal Services Advisory Board and Board of Adjustments.
