Thanks to your generosity, Giving Tuesday was a success! Our goal was to raise $5,000 in 24 hours, and we exceeded that goal, ending with $5,114. We are truly thankful for each and every donation, whether you gave $5, or were one of our anonymous $1,000 match participants. Giving Tuesday helped us take large strides towards meeting our financial goals for 2018-2019, raising money for the important programs we do to strengthen public education here in Pitt County, and increasing awareness about Parents for Public Schools among our community. Every Facebook post that was shared or liked, and every email that was forwarded allowed more people to be “in the know” about the great work happening through Parents for Public Schools of Pitt County, and demonstrated how much our community values and supports public education.

We are excited to move forward to the second half of our fiscal year with a strong start. Upcoming are events such as school tours for families, more Community Conversations, our annual report  to our Board of Education, more Parent Engagement Program(PEP) classes, and more public PEP programs on education topics. Each of these programs relies on donors like you to make true impacts on pubic education in our community. We have raised 60% of our yearly budget, and would welcome your help securing our remaining funding needs. So don’t wait! As you make your year end gifts, please consider a gift to Parents For Public Schools of Pitt County. One time donations are always appreciated, or consider becoming one of our monthly donors. Either can be done by visiting https://ppspittcounty.org/donate/.
