That PPS-PC offers annual Kindergarten 101 Workshops?

Each January, PPS-PC hosts Kindergarten 101 for families preparing to enter their child into Kindergarten. These sessions equip families with tools, information, and confidence as they begin their educational journey.
Upcoming Kindergarten 101 Workshops:

  • January 27 | 6–8 PM
  • January 29 | 9–11 AM
  • Spanish Kindergarten 101: January 29 | 6–8 PM

That 2026 will mark the 10th annual Spring School Tour Series?

The 2026 Spring School Tour Series marks 10 years of PPS-PC partnering with Pitt County Schools to offer comprehensive tours at every school in the district. In that decade, hundreds of community members and families have explored Pitt County Schools firsthand.
The 2026 Tour Series runs January 28–March 11.

 

That in October 2025 the Public Schools 101 Workshop for Community Leaders was offered for the first time?

In October 2025, PPS-PC, in partnership with the Pitt County Educational Foundation, hosted the first-ever Public Schools 101 Workshop designed for business and community leaders.
This important workshop returns on February 9, offering another opportunity for leaders to deepen their understanding of our public school system in Pitt County and across North Carolina.

Yet every day, extraordinary things happen in Pitt County Schools thanks to the dedication of our educators and the support of families and community partners. Public schools are essential to a strong economy, a vibrant democracy, and a thriving community. With the right resources, they can deliver a high-quality public education for every child.

Support PPS on Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global movement centered on radical generosity. This year, PPS-PC is using Giving Tuesday to launch our End of Year Giving Campaign with a goal of raising $5,000 by December 31.

As we close out 2025 and move into 2026, we invite you to support—through your time, your voice, or your financial support.
